SweepWatch

Terms of Service

Effective date: July 9, 2026

Read this part even if you skip the rest. SweepWatch helps you avoid street-sweeping tickets, but it can't guarantee you won't get one. Schedules change, signs override data, detection can miss a park, and notifications can fail to arrive. You — not SweepWatch — are responsible for where you park and for following posted signs. Always check the curb.

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and SweepWatch ("we," "us") governing your use of the SweepWatch iOS app and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. What the Service is

SweepWatch detects where you park in San Francisco — automatically via your car's Bluetooth or CarPlay connection, or manually — matches that location against the city's published street-sweeping schedules, and sends you alerts before scheduled sweeps. It also provides a reference map of sweeping schedules.

3. No guarantee against tickets

The Service is an informational convenience, not a substitute for reading posted signs. Specifically:

You are solely responsible for where you park, for complying with posted parking regulations, and for any tickets, towing, or other consequences. We do not reimburse tickets.

4. Your account

You need an account to use the Service. Keep your credentials secure — you're responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old. Provide accurate information and keep it current.

5. Subscriptions (SweepWatch Pro)

Some features require a paid SweepWatch Pro subscription, offered monthly or yearly. Subscriptions are purchased through, billed by, and managed entirely within Apple's App Store:

If you delete your account while a subscription is active, the subscription must be cancelled separately through Apple — deleting the account doesn't cancel Apple billing.

6. Household sharing

You can share cars with other members of a household. Shared-car information — parking locations and alerts — is visible to everyone in the household. You're responsible for who you invite. Don't add people to a household without their knowledge, and don't use household sharing to track someone without their consent.

7. Acceptable use

Don't:

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

8. Your content and license

You keep ownership of the information you put into the Service (car names, places, and so on). You grant us the limited license needed to store and process it to operate the Service. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose. The app, its design, and the SweepWatch name remain our property.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes what we collect and how we handle it, and is part of these terms.

10. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time and can delete your account from inside the app (Account → Delete account), which permanently removes your data. We may suspend or terminate the Service or your access to it for violation of these terms or if we discontinue the Service, with reasonable notice where practicable.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of data. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including parking tickets, towing fees, or fines — arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or $50, whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain liability limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. For material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco, California.
